Australia

Australia is the home of kangaroos and koalas,
Australia is surrounded by water, it is located on the smallest continent in the world and Australia is the sixth largest country in the world. It is lying Southeast of Asia.
The Capital is Canberra. Some places of interest I visited during my trip in Canberra were the National Museum of Australia.
Hey! That was really great, did you know that it opened in 2001 and believe me it is worth a visit.
And yes! the Lake of Burley Griffin, did you guys know it was an artificial lake, it was constructed in 1963 after the Molonglo River was damned.
They said there is was allowed to take a walk on the 35 km shoreline, so I took a walk, but then I saw the Acton Park Ferry was hiring skates and bikes, first I wanted to rent a bike but then I thought my legs are not long enough for it so I tried the skates, that was great!
After that I went to the National Canberra Exhibitions on the Regatta Point where they give information about the Canberra’s development.
After the Lake I went to visit the spectacular Ginnindera Falls, located Northwest of Canberra. It was really worth a visit, I saw the beautiful gorges too.
Then I went to the National Dinosaur Museum located in Gold Creek 11 km North West of Canberra. There I saw various fossils and skeleton, never know may be one day mine will be also there. Hehe Just dreaming a little!!
I do not know if you guys are brave enough, but I was! I visited the Australian Reptile Centre where you can see the impressive snakes.
Oh yes! If you want to make some nice photos do not forget to go to Queanbeyan to Bungendore Hill and Jerrabomberra Hill, Queanbeyan is about 12 km South East of Canberra, It was called Queen Bean until 1838.
There are so many places to visit in Australia, after Canberra I was thinking which part to visit.
I thought I would go to Sydney.
First I searched for a hotel to have some rest, there was large choice of hotels, and I did not know which one to choose, there was Mercure in Sydney Central Station, Ibis Hotel, Stamford Hotel, and Capitol Square Hotel and much more.
I finally decided to take a room in Mercure Hotel, I took a shower had some rest and continued my visit.
I went to the Sydney Harbour Bridge, locally it is known as the “Coat Hanger”. It took 8 years to build. It was built by 1400 workers, 16 among them were killed in accidents during the construction. The construction began in December 1926; the foundations are 12 meters deep and are set on sandstone. It was officially opened in 1932.
Then I made a short visit to the Darling Harbour, I visited the Chinese Garden.
I visited the Opera House Market, Paddington Market and the Rock’s Market.
After the Markets, I went to the Taronga Zoo, I spent over 2 hours visiting the zoo, but it was worth. I made beautiful photos of the kangaroos, the koalas and echidnas.
Wow! That was a great Zoo, may be the best that I visited.
The fabulous city of Perth the capital of the West part of Australia.
I visited the Port City of Fremantle in the South of Perth, made also some shopping there and bought some souvenirs.
I visited also Perth hills then I enjoyed a relaxing walk along the sandy beach, and admired the Sunset.
I wanted also to discover the Nightlife in Perth, I went to some nightclubs and bars to have some drinks, and danced till early morning.
I ended my visit by visiting the cities of Adelaide, Townsville, Wollongon and Melbourne.
Australia was a very beautiful country, I am very happy that I visited it, now I am talking the plane to go to New Zealand.
See you there!
