Bienvenue! This is what I heard when I landed at the Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport in Paris, France. I was impatient to visit Paris which is also the capital city of France.
I will give you a tip while visiting Paris, use the Paris Metro, it is the best way of transport, driving with a car around Paris is hell.
You can see me on the above picture in front of the famous Galeries Lafayette located on Boulevard Haussemann. Yes, I was in Paris during Christmas time. The weather was nice, a bit cold and had some snow I loved it.
My visit didn’t end there. I went to the Eiffel Tower, landmark of the country. Of course I did not resist I needed to get at the top and make some magnificent pictures and have a view on Paris city.
I walked along the Champs Elysées Avenue, which is known as the most beautiful avenue in the world. It is quite true. The avenue goes through the Place de la Concorde where you can see its obelisk, Place Charles de Gaulles which was known as Place de l’Etoile before where is seen the Arc de Triomphe.
The lower part of the Champs Elysées is where mostly tourist are seen, there are found some of the main attractions of Paris, the Marighy Theatre, the Marighy Square, the Grand Palais. In this part is also found some of well known restaurants as Fouquet’s. Some luxury shops are also seen in this part.
I couldn’t miss to visit the Moulin Rouge when being in France, that’s a must to see. There are other famous cabarets as the Crazy Horse, the Lido or the Brasil Tropical.
Also had a visit to the Louvre, I absolutely wanted to see the oil painting of Mona Lisa made by Leonardo de Vinci during the sixteenth century. The Louvre is known to be the oldest and most visited museums in the world.
Some other attractions I visited are Musee d’Orsay, Chateaux de Versailles, Centre Pompidou, Notre Dame de Paris a gothic cathedral, Tour Montparnasse, Bois de Boulogne and La Bastille. Do not miss the Disneyland Paris known also as Euro Disney, the park was crowded but I spent a nice time.
I also visited some other cities as Marseilles, Calais, Lyon, Toulouse, Strasbourg, Lille, Nice and Montpellier.
