I decided that I would stay in Europe, so as I said in my last visit in Belgium I wanted to visit Greece. Greece is located in southeastern Europe. Did you know that the official name of Greece was Hellenic Republic? Yea! Really, that’s true. I did not know this but I learn something more.
I took the plane to go to Greece and landed at Athens International Airport located of course in Athens, which is also the capital City of Greece.
It has been a long time already that I wanted to travel to Greece and now that I am there, I do not know where to start my visit.
I think the best thing is to buy a map of the country and look for the interesting places to visit. As I am in Athens, I think the best is to start my visit from here and look for a place to sleep, a nice and cheap hotel.
I had a problem I couldn’t speak a single word of Greek which is the official language of Greece. But I will for sure find some people speaking English.
Let me tell you some nice attractions in Greece that I myself visited: the ruins of Agora in Athens, Benaki Museum, Acropolis one of the most seen attractions in Athens, the National Archaeological Museum. In Athens, I also did some shopping and visited some bars and discos. I also went to the National Gardens where you can see a small zoo, Kolonaki popular street in Athens. Oh, yes! I also visited the Jewish Museum, very instructive, I know a lot about the Jewish now.
On the picture above, I visited Rhodes which is also one of the Seven Wonders of the World. I ask there a kind person to make a picture of me. I visited the Acropolis of Rhodes and Karpathos. Then I made a cruise and visited some Greek Islands as Ionian, Cyclades, Crete, Dodecanese and Saronic. That was a great adventure.
And of course, I ate everyday Greek food. The Greek cuisine is delicious. I appreciated it.
After my visit, I knew a lot about the history of Greece. It was one more country that I could remove from my long list.
I am still wondering which country I would visit next.
Let’s see where I will land this time.
