I saw the most amazing things in India. There was this man, who, for fear of killing insects
or any living things when he walked, had two other people (who were his followers, I heard)
to carry him around. There were so many people in India! None of them cared whether I was
a teddy or not - and to tell you the truth, I had grown a little bit accustomed to people
taking notice of me.
There are loads of holy places in India, and so many pilgrims! Women, men and children, all
dressed in vivid colors. I visited Jaipur, a place reputed for its jewelry markets. I was
proposed gold and silver, precious and semi-previous stones at an amazing price. However,
those things being too heavy for me to carry about, I had to content myself with buying clothes.
There is also Udaipur, an extremely romantic place. I was walking around and I could see only
couples everywhere. I was the only one who was alone. I wish I had a teddy-girlfriend. However,
when it comes to how teddies have babies, I’m still in the dark…
After my visit to Rajasthan, I went to Bombay. I went in through the Gateway of India, a huge
arch built in honour of King George V and Queen Mary. It’s really hot in India, and I’ve never
been so glad to be a teddy bear in my whole life.
There is so much to see in India! There are the Chowpatty and Juhu beaches – long stretches
of sand with food stalls almost everywhere. There was also the Shivaji Terminus, a very neat
railway station, and the buildings erected in the 18th century. I wonder whether teddy bears
have worked in the construction of those buildings.
I went to see a few museums, and I was proposed a job there – as they had no teddies. I
politely declined the offer and slowly backed away from that museum.
I ended my journey in India by a fantastic shopping spree. I'm a bit sad that I couldn't see
everything in India, for example, the Taj Mahal.
