After my visit to Taiwan, I decided to have a visit in the Indian Ocean where I already visited Mauritius Island. This time I am flying to Reunion Island.
I landed at St Denis Airport in Reunion Island. And did you know that the currency in Reunion Island is Euro. Saint Denis is also the capital city of Reunion Island. The island has a surface of 2.512 square kilometers.
One of the main attractions of Reunion Island is its famous volcano, Piton de La Fournaise, which is still in activity.
Reunion Island is a quite mountainous as you can observe it on the picture above. You can see me on the top of the mountain; it was not easy to climb up there. But I wanted to show others that a teddy can also climb, a lot of times I wanted abandon, but I did as you see.
Reunion doesn’t have real white sandy beaches as saw in Mauritius, even it is surrounded with water. But there are a lot of interesting places to visit in the island.
Of course, I didn’t miss to go to the volcano, not so warm up there. I have not been able to see a lot as the weather was not so clear. I also visited Piton des Neiges.
For a small island as Reunion, it has two airports, St Denis and St Gilles.
I visited some other cities as St Paul, Ste Marie, and St Leu. I spent some few days in the mountains the air is fresh there. Also visited some Tamil temples on the island.
Reunion Island was more to relax than running to visit, but I appreciated my travel in this country.
