Here I am in Turkey officially called The Republic of Turkey. The country has for capital city Ankara and not Istanbul which is the largest city. Turkey is transcontinental and is bordered by the Sea of Marmara, in the North the Black Sea, the Mediterranean Sea to the South and to the West the Aegean Sea.
Since I landed in Turkey, I had a very nice weather. I first went to my hotel where I had some rest and a swim in the pool.
I visited Ankara the second largest city of Turkey, I saw the Column of Julianus which seemed so huge to me. Ankara is home of the Turkish Government Houses and most of the foreign embassies. I also visited the Temple of Angustus, the Ataturk Mausoleum, Kocatepe mosque and the Ethnographic Museum. Oh, yes! I also went in a Turkish spa, the Turkish Hamam.
The Turkish people were staring at me. I think they never saw a Teddy traveling around the world.
I visited Istanbul, went to the beach to relax. Then had some sight seeing, been to the Hagia Sophia located on the Turkish Thrace, it is known nowadays as the Ayasofya Museum. Istanbul is a city that had many different names during the history. I also went to the Grand Bazaar, the Blue Mosque, The Bosphorus, the Topkapi Palace and a lot of museums.
I also went to some of the well known cities of Turkey as Izmir, Antalya, Mersin, Diyarbakir, Gaziantep, and Bursa.
I also tasted the Turkish food which was nice. After a nice dinner, I needed to choose my next destination. Where could I go now? Let’s see on the map for the best place.
See You!
